Atoosa Pour Hosseini (b. Tehran, 1981) is a visual artist based in Dublin/ Ireland. She holds a MA in Fine Art Media from National College of Art and Design, Dublin, as well as HND in Fiber Art at Ballyfermot College, Dublin, and BA in Fine Art Painting at Azad University of Art and Architecture, Tehran. She was awarded residency at the Guesthouse, Cork/ Ireland (2013) and Amandus Adamson Studio Museum, Paldiski/ Estonia (2014) and has received support for her practice from Culture Ireland and the Art Council of Ireland. Pour Hosseini’s practice, which includes drawing, painting, video and sculpture, has expanded more recently to embrace video installation and performance art. She attempts to convey and examine several recurring themes that relate to location, reflection, nostalgia and her relationship with her surroundings. Her works have been exhibited and screened widely both in Ireland and internationally in USA, UK, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Greece, Estonia, Brazil, Croatia and Iran since 2002.More info: www.atoosapourhosseini.com
